Growing up in the 70's and 80's a time when heroine and alcohol was wreaking havoc on her household and the public housing development, Tara had to fight for her sobriety and sanity, cluding a life of what many thought was inevitable.

Coming of age and realizing that her father was never coming back, she knew she needed to find her own way of survival.
