Knook Barrow had high hopes of being the first young negro out of the projects, he grew up in a tough housing unit in Houston, Texas where everyone he knew was on the grind. Knook choose not to pick up the bag but stay deep in his schoolbooks. Until one day in a neighborhood sweep, the drug unit picked him up, and despite the fact that Knook had no record, they decided, that no one lives here and knows nothing.
